It will start next July 10th, at 7 pm, at the Excelsior Mill in Valderice and then will continue for a day at the Villa Comunale of Custonaci, the XIV edition of the Terrazza dīAutore literary review, with 5 events organized by the journalist Ornella Fulco and the writer Stefania La Via.
The review has the subtitle "Voices, stories and suggestions at sunset", because they are meetings of sixty minutes in which towards the end of the day, at sunset, a suggestive moment begins to share the emotions that the reading of a novel, the narration of a theatrical work, the exploration of a theme or a musical work.
The exhibition organized under the patronage of the municipalities of Valderice and Custonaci, includes a cycle of 5 meetings that are structured as follows:
10 JULY, 7 pm Molino Excelsior-Valderice The lions of Sicily, Stefania Auci tells the saga of the powerful Florio family, who was the protagonist of the period of the so-called Bella Epoque, which initiated numerous successful industrial initiatives, including that of Marsala wines, and also gave way to large shipping companies. In addition, the family also had significant interests in the sulfur sector and in the canning fishing industry in Favignana thanks to the tuna fishery. The Florio were the richest in Italy and as often happens the epic of these great families ends up with dramas and premature deaths, which throw the family industry into bankruptcy.
JULY 16, 7 pm Molino Excelsior-Valderice The invention of Sicily. Conversation on Leonardo Sciascia, with Rosario Atria.
23 JULY, 7.00 pm Villa comunale-Custonaci Lisbon, The shadow, the light, the fado. Musical journey with Stefania La Via and the participation of Alenfado.
AUGUST 2, 7 pm Molino Excelsior-Valderice Ornella Fulco tells Vox by Christina Dalcher.
AUGUST 9, 7 pm Molino Excelsior-Valderice A room just for them, Women and writing, conversation with Alessio Romano and Maria Giambruno.
