Even if this year the spring has been desired, in the last weekend of May the traditional floral display on the staircase of S. Domenico, which celebrates its ninth edition, will not be missing.
The volunteers of the "Tradumari & venti" association will work at a fast pace to give citizens and tourists, who hopefully will be many, a great event to animate a city that lives because of the problems related to the airport a moment of crisis.
The desire for redemption of a territory arises, however, from not giving up and contributing so that the city does not remain poor in events and therefore attractions for tourists.
Although the Trapani event does not have the same numbers as other similar events such as the floret by Noto, which celebrated its 40th anniversary this year, however, “Arte & Fiori” in Trapani has always had many visitors who crowd the steps of the staircase that leads to the church of S. Domenico to admire true works of art that the flowery masters of the city exhibit, but also simple young artists who will choose the most beautiful flowers for the occasion.
It will be a colorful staircase with as many different colors as there are varieties of flowers used.
The association "Tradumari & venti", directed by the Maestro Claudio Maltese, takes several days of preparation to allow the imagination of the artists to express themselves in the best way without ever being trivial, because the floral art is really exceptional, that only the flower can express .
The event includes other side events such as musical concerts in the square in front of the church of San Domenico and, for those who want, will be able to attend the Eucharistic celebration in the same church of San Domenico on the occasion of the sixth Sunday of Easter.
The infiorata, which has the free sponsorship of the Municipality of Trapani in collaboration with the Rectorate San Domenico, "Video Service" of Franco Marino, the television station Telesud and the radio station "Radio 102". it will be open on Saturday evenings until one in the morning, while on Sunday until midnight.
