Also this year the international show "Stragusto" returns with its eleventh edition with an ever richer culinary program, which will surely make the numerous tourists and visitors lick their mustaches.
For five days, from July 24th to 28th, the "Ex Mercato del Pesce" square will turn into a huge open-air kitchen with scents, colors and flavors of street food, which are not only Sicilian, but have been for some years present stands with food from other Italian and foreign locations.
Stragusto, as every year, will lead visitors on a culinary tour around the Mediterranean area and beyond.
For lovers of local flavors will always be appreciated the classic "coppo" of fried fish but also other specialties such as caponata, rianata, arancine and will not miss this year the "purpo amber" of the Trattoria Poseidone, while for those he also loves the specialties of Palermo, there will be the ca meusa bread, with panelle and potato croquettes, the sfincione and much more.
Other Sicilian specialties are the scaccia of Ragusa, which is a focaccia filled with vegetables, potatoes, cheese, sausage, black olives and ricotta and crispelle, a kind of fried bread, which are served as a snack to plug the classic hole in the stomach when he is hungry. They can also be accompanied with cold cuts.
For dessert there will also be a tasting of the classic Paceco yellow melon and the traditional hand-made granita.
Where there is food, there is also a drink with a suggestive wine tasting at sunset on the walls of Tramontana, with the best wines that are the fruit of the work of the wineries of the territory.
The event is organized by the Trapani Welcome association in collaboration with the PS Advert and under the patronage of the Municipality of Trapani and includes a rich program from 24 to 28 July with different educational moments such as free evening cooking shows and various live musical performances.
The stands will be open every evening from 18.30 to 24.00 with the possibility of purchasing tickets for tasting specialties.
