A great appointment with classical music is scheduled in Trapani Saturday, February 23 at 21.00 in the Cathedral of St. Lawrence with the event "Notturno Chopin", a music festival, where they will perform the famous compositions in piano, which for the note is called "Nottuni", by the great Polish musician, French national, Fryderyk Chopin.
Chopinīs famous Nocturnes represent a series of piano compositions that were inspired by his dreamy and distinctly romantic nature and are divided into several thematic sections based on the various expressions of his mood, ranging from sweet and dreamy to the most violent and aggressive.
In addition, the Polish spirit and the Italian bel canto, strongly linked to all the composerīs works, have a recurring theme.
Chopin was considered a poet of the piano, who wrote his verses playing just this instrument and this musician is considered unequaled in his generation.
He grew up as a child prodigy in the Duchy of Warsaw and despite the difficulties of a political nature that the country crossed, he was able to complete his musical training; in 1830, however, following the Russian repression of the November Uprising (1830), at the age of 21, he moved to Paris where he naturalized, electing France as his second homeland.
Chopin had a rather tormented life and his works also reflect his state of mind, which, as we said, was very quiet, but that in the last years of his life was very dark because of the depression, in which he fell, which is why death suddenly seized him at the age of 39 in Paris, where he is currently buried, but his heart is in Warsaw, in the church of Santa Croce.
All his young life is contained in his works, especially in the famous "Nocturnes", which will be performed in the evening-event on Saturday 23rd February by Maestro Mauro Visconti with the accompaniment of Marta Pasquini on the violin and with the voice of Fabrizio Roman.
Admission is free subject to availability.
