After the positive experience of last summer with the "Libri sotto la Torre" event organized in the territory of Marausa Lido, the Ermes non-profit association does not intend to forget the fraction of Marausa and tries again at Christmas time with a sporting event in Piazza VI Aprile of Marausa, where a basketball court will be set up to allow children to spend an afternoon in joy, including music, games and Santa Claus, which will give candy and sweets to the little ones.
The purpose of the event is twofold: on the one hand to promote the fraction of Marausa and revive the main square of the country with lights and sounds typical of the Christmas atmosphere and on the other, attract the attention of young people and students at the municipal level and provincial on the importance of sport as a recreational, integrative and developmental moment both for the person and the surrounding environment.
The title of the event, which will begin at 15.00, is "Magic Christmas Basket" and is organized in collaboration with the company Pallacanestro Trapani, with which it has signed a memorandum of understanding, which will bring to Marausa two different sports groups of children (9-10 years) and the other of the youth sector (11-13 years) led by Enza Aglieri Rinella, who is the provincial manager of the youth sector of Pallacanestro Trapani and national coach at national level.
The two sports groups will do a workout with the possibility of children and school children intervened in Marausa and the hinterland trapanese, who still practice basketball at amateur or amateur level, to know and learn to appreciate even more this magical sport that is a complete, fun and team discipline, the latter fundamental aspect to develop integration and sociality.
Furthermore, two players of the major team that plays in the Serie A2 championship, who are the captain of the team Andrea Renzi, and Marco Mollura who will sign autographs and deliver gadgets from Pallacanestro Trapani to the children, will play for the joy of all the fans.

15.00: inauguration of the village with the greetings of the President of Pallacanestro Trapani, Pietro Basciano, and the Mayor of Trapani, Giacomo Tranchida; 15.30 performance of the minibasket group; 16.30 performance by the youth sector group; 17.30 entertainment moment.
