Two days of events in Erice with the fourth edition of the event "Zampogne dal Mondo", an international review of popular music and instruments, which brings together groups of bagpipers coming from Austria, Spain, Armenia and Poland, while our country is represented by the Campania and Molise groups.
The event is part of the "EricéNatale-Il Borgo dei Presepi" festival which this year is announcing itself full of novelties with various gastronomic events that will involve Erice up to 6 January.
As for "Zampogne dal Mondo" the official opening will be Saturday, December 8 at 10.00 in the council chamber, where the participating bagpipers will be presented, while there will be touring exhibitions on the streets of Erice.
This is a moment much awaited by the many visitors, because the characteristic sound of the bagpipe recreates the typical atmosphere of Christmas, which is full of magic and joy for everyone especially for children.
The feast day of the Immaculate will close in Piazza della Loggia at 18.30 with a big concert in the square that will involve all the groups present.
The second day of the event will open Sunday, December 9 early in the morning with the classic traveling exhibitions, while the closing of the event will be at 18.30 in the Church of San Martino with the performance of all groups in the show "Zampogne, Gaite, Ciaramelle & Cornamuse ".
This moment will be presented by Vittoria Abbenante.
Erice is an ancient village that has a passion for tradition, for the sounds and flavors of the past and this event once again confirms an important moment to enhance and promote the historical and artistic heritage of our country.
