Custonaci is also confirmed for 2018 as the Mediterranean city for Christmas, is home to one of the stages of one of the most prestigious events in the province of Trapani: we are talking about the Living Nativity, set up by the cultural association Museo Vivente di Custonaci with the patronage of the municipality of Custonaci.
The cast of the crib this year will be composed of over 160 people who are not only the figures who play the role of the classic characters of the crib, but also the workers who take care of the installation, because depicting a live crib is an effort organizational not indifferent.
The place of representation of the crib is, as always, the Grotta di Mangiapane in the hamlet of Scurati (Custonaci), which from 25 December to 6 January will be illuminated with torches, Roman pans and oil lanterns to recreate the classic Christmas atmosphere.
In addition, there will be several events to the crib like concerts, cultural itineraries and the gastronomic village with games and music that will frame, attracting many visitors, especially tourists, who can admire one of the most important events that the history of mankind has never contemplated: the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
To buy the ticket, you have to go to the historic center of Custonaci and the cost of the ticket includes also the tasting of typical products, the possibility to visit the Sanctuary of Maria SS. Di Custonaci, the Art and Faith Museum and the shuttle service from the historic center to the cave and back.
Finally in Scurati to guarantee the safety of visitors, there is a surveillance and control service thanks to the civil protection operators and the health service with the presence of an ambulance with a medical emergency service.
