From Friday 3 August to Sunday 5 August in San Vito lo Capo, in the enchanting Baia Santa Margherita (in Castelluzzo, Cala Seno dellŽArena) "Bagli, Olio e Mare" returns, an enogastronomic review, now in its eighth edition, linked to the promotion of the territory of Macari and Castelluzzo.
The rural archeology with its bagli, the valorization of the oil and of the slow food presidia, the sea with an uncontaminated bay: here are the ingredients of this "tasty" event made for the lovers of the sea, of the culture, of the nature, of the good food and drink "good" can appreciate a holiday outside the traditional routes.
A gastronomic event with tastings, for lunch and dinner, bruschette, busiati alla trapanese and fried fish, all accompanied by a slice of melon, cassatelle and good wine. Space, in the evening, entertainment with shows and free concerts. In front of the eyes, a fabulous view with "sea view" and a succession of colors.
Sicilian warmth, freshness of food, with high quality productions: bread made with wheat flour of timilie, russello and perciasacchi, the fresh pasta made from ancient grains of semolina, the pinch of Paceco, the red garlic of Nubia, the almonds of Noto, the basil, the oil dop Valli Trapanesi, produced in Castelluzzo, the sea salt of Trapani, the cartridge melon of Paceco.
Many initiatives to discover the most authentic flavors of local tradition. During the three days of the event the public can also participate in oil tasting and wine tasting in the bards of Castelluzzo, to continue with aperitifs at sunset based on tuna products and dj-set.
The event is organized by the Municipality of San Vito lo Capo in collaboration with the Cultural Tourism Association "Castelluzzo" and Slow Food Trapani.
