Spring is the season when nature awakens after the long winter hibernation and the expression of this return to life is definitely the flower that blooms, which with its colored petals opens up to the new warmth that the beautiful season brings.
Punctual then returns the event in which the flowers are in fact the protagonists with "Art & Flowers, which has come this year to its eighth edition, which will take place from 18 to 20 May on the impressive staircase that leads to the church of San Domenico. We would like to emphasize the preposition on it, because it is precisely on the steps of the ancient staircase that the floral art will be unleashed with magnificent floral creations, created by young artists from Trapani, who will choose the most beautiful flowers for the occasion.
Who will come from Via Garibaldi will be able to admire this staircase, which will be colored by many different colors, how many varieties of flowers are used. It takes several days of preparation, so that the imagination of the artists can be expressed in the best way without ever being trivial, but it is a skillful art, which only the flower can express.
The event will begin on Friday 18 May with the inauguration ceremony, entering via Garibaldi with the participation of the Tamburini group "Trinacria" Trapani. In addition to the infiorata the cultural association "Tradumari & venti" with the artistic direction of Maestro Claudio Maltese will set up other collateral events such as musical concerts in the square in front of the church of San Domenico, an art exhibition and an extemporaneous painting.
On Saturday afternoon, for those who want to, they can attend the Eucharistic celebration in the church of San Domenico on the occasion of Pentecost Sunday.
The infiorata, which has the free patronage of the City of Trapani in collaboration with the Rectory of San Domenico, "Video Service" by Franco Marino and the television station Telesud, will be open on Saturday evening until one o´clock in the morning, while on Sundays until at midnight.
