Still missing several weeks at Easter and already the taste of good chocolate begins to be felt in recent days thanks to the many events that are organized to enhance in the best way the chocolate, called the "Food of the Gods" and the delicacies that the great chocolatiers masters prepare for the occasion.
One of these events that gives the opportunity to taste the excellent chocolate is "Ciocco Fest in Belice", which is now in its fourth edition and that this year after the great success of 2017 in Partanna will stop in Gibellina.
The choice is not casual, because this year marks the fiftieth anniversary of the earthquake that destroyed the Belice Valley, including the community of Gibellina. A violent earthquake that destroyed, as we said the villages of the Valle del Belice, causing 400 deaths, 1,000 injured and 90,000 displaced.
The association Cuore del Belice, which organizes the festival, wants to show all its solidarity and closeness, making a stop in Gibellina, which has suffered several damages and thanks to the contribution of several artists and intellectuals has been completely reborn, making it a museum to heaven open.
Returning to the "Ciocco Fest" event, both adults and children will be involved, because chocolate makes everyone really greedy.
The program of the event foresees, as always, the educational explanatory workshops for school children, who will be involved in these activities since 9 am, which are very important, because they will explain to the children what chocolate processing consists of.
From 23rd to 25th February, the organization has scheduled various stands that will also showcase crepes, waterfalls, waffles, spince and even arancini of chocolate for the occasion; in addition there will also be cooking shows and entertainment with the "Sicilia Bedda" folk group.
