There will be four days of sweetness in the name of good chocolate those who will live in Castellammare del Golfo from 1 to 4 February on the occasion of the Chocolate Festival with stands, tastings, workshops and lots of live music and cabaret.
This event is part of the perspective of a seasonal adjustment of tourism, where Castellammare del Golfo, after the great public response of the Christmas markets, also aims in this period of cold to have a large influx of tourists and when it comes to good food and especially of delicacies like chocolate, then success is guaranteed.
In this new edition the high-quality Sicilian chocolate confectionery will continue to be the protagonist, which will propose its specialties; in fact there will be no lack of the great chocolatiers of Modica who will offer the public the tasting of their products; in particular, the Modica chocolate since 2003 is protected by a consortium, which brings together twenty producers in the city in order to establish a precise production specification and obtain the precious PGI recognition.
Furthermore, in this new edition, educational workshops will not be missed, where children will learn the techniques of chocolate processing in the morning, but they will also have the opportunity to prepare specialties under the supervision of the master chocolatiers.
Finally, this year, a chocolate sculpture will be created that will symbolize the city of Castellammare del Golfo and will be auctioned, whose proceeds will be donated to charity.
The stands will be set up in the pedestrian areas of Corso Garibaldi, practically in the heart of the historic center, where visitors from 10 to 24 can taste the specialties.
