A mix of religious and folklore always marks every year the feast of San Vito, who is the patron saint of the homonymous seaside resort.
A week in which the seaside village celebrates its patron saint on the day of his ascension to the sky, which, like every year, invokes many faithful, but also simple curious and tourists who already flock to the beaches these early summer days.
In ancient times, San Vito Capo was a seaside village and most San Vito devotees are in the mariners, who with great faith and devotion find themselves together to rediscover their cultural identity.
It is an unforgettable opportunity that fishermen take full advantage of, leaving all the boats in the harbor because they do not want to miss the great appointment of the procession that takes place in the evening after a long week of preparation made of prayer.
