Since in 2011 the Maestranza Union approved a resolution in which the Procession of the Mysteries must alternate historical center and Via Fardella, was a series of discussions and polemics on whether to give priority to this or that route.
Yet, this decision has created, on the eve of the annual publication of the itinerary, a kind of expectation and curiosity to find out which roads or streets were covered and breaking the traditional "monotony" which in recent decades had been created on a route almost obliged to stages that have become indispensable.
It made the way Fardella last year, while respecting the principle of alternation, 2017 it was the turn of the old town although the route this year has really stunned everyone.
This year, not only it is preferred the old town, but from the early hours of the afternoon the Holy Groups after leaving the Church of Purgatory will go fishing in the heart of the navy of the city, reaching the fishing port and off the nymphs that are usually touched at dawn, when the Mysteries are the way back to church.
Here is the path: opening in the square Purgatory then: General Domenico Giglio street, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, via Serisso, via Ballotta, via Tartaglia, via Duca dŽAosta, Via Cristoforo Colombo, Via Giovanni da Procida, Via Silva, square slipway, via the Sailors, via Carolina, off the Nymphs, General Piazza Scio, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, Torrearsa street, via Garibaldi, via Badia Nuova, via delle Arti, via Baron Sera Pepoli, square and street Cuba, square notaries, via Argentieri, Piazza SantŽAgostino, Italy Corso, via XXX January, Osorio street, via Mazzini and Receipt, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, where we will stop.
