Erice also this year opens its squares and its village with the exhibition "EricèNatale with a series of events and initiatives that will Erice hot during the Christmas season.
It will open on December 8 with a billboard, which provides the evocative cribs made in the churches, in the courtyards and in the shops, but there will be exhibitions, concerts, classic Christmas markets and the moments of fun for young and old.
The event is organized by the City of Erice and Erice Art Foundation, under the aegis of the European Union, the Region of Sicily, Trapani dell´UPIA Casartigiani and association "Erice the Mountain of the Lord".
PROGRAM
8 to 11 December 2016: Bagpipes FROM THE WORLD (review of bands from all over the world with performances that are touring the streets of the village);
15-16 December 2016 Workshop "Nutrition education and benefits of the Mediterranean Diet". Two days will be dedicated to the theme of food by the District Wines & Flavors of Sicily, in collaboration with the hotel management school "V. Florio "of Erice.
16-18 December 2016 WAITING FOR CINEMADAMARE 2017 Screenwriting workshops open to the free participation of young filmmakers and screenwriters Sicilians and to present to the public the best short films made last summer to Erice. For the duration of the Christmas period there will Erice and its fractions classic Christmas markets and concerts. For the last year, in fact, in Piazza della Loggia you will dance with Jaka, while the classical concerto is reserved for the first year at the Teatro Gabel Hamed, where it will be broadcast on New Year´s Concert from Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra . They will close the festive season as usual with the Befana in Piazza della Loggia with gifts and smiles for the little ones.
