Summer is not over yet in the Egadi, because the month of September we reserve other major events such as the second edition of "Marettimo Jazz Festival", which will take place from 8 to 10 September in the premises of the Oratory Parish.
In these days of late summer there will be lots of music and jazz great show with Dixie Street Band concerts and on stage.
The event even if it ends Saturday, September 10, will, however, an appendix Sunday, September 11 with a Dawn appointment in "Roman Holiday" and the concert of "Animeincanto" the maestro Vincenzo Toscano.
This musical event, which this year aims to bring jazz music on one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean, is sponsored by the City of Favignana and from the Marine Protected Area "Egadi Islands, under the artistic direction of Alberto Anguzza and the support of the CSRT "Marettimo."
Do not miss the final event on Saturday, September 10 with the master Lino Patruno, who is a great undisputed star of this musical genre. In his long musical career he has played and recorded with some of the great masters of the history of jazz. Patruno also has experience as an actor and animator of the famous band "The Owls", but broke up in 1969 after several disagreements among group members.
Patruno after the dissolution decides to continue his artistic activities also in film writing screenplays for several films and becoming a member of the jury of the David di Donatello.
At Marettimo Patruno it presents with her his "Jazz Show", which is a traditional jazz concert with excerpts from the repertoire of Ellington, Porter, Waller, Berlin etc ... lasting about 90 minutes.
The Patruno teacher will be accompanied on guitar, banjo and vocals, Mauro Carpi - violin, Fabio Ascending - bass, Antonella Parnassos - voice, Fabio Gandolfo - piano and Tonino Di Pasquale - battery.
