Will start on the 1st of September, the eighth edition of "Red Garlic and White Sale" organized by Trapani Welcome under the patronage of the Municipality of Paceco.
The food and wine festival will this year take place in the enchanting surroundings of the Museum of Nubia Salt and across the nature reserve of the salt pans of Trapani and Paceco with the aim to promote the way of the salt and the garlic of Nubia, which lead with it a rich culinary heritage.
Will be two days full of food and wine events, guided tours, conferences, exhibitions-market, and every evening at sunset will be renewed manually collecting salt, accompanied by the typical songs that salt workers performed one time, because the collection of salt is a secular ritual which is celebrated in a unique setting between the pools of water and windmills.
In these two evenings of late summer sea salt and red garlic of Nubia will be involved in cooking shows, demonstrations, tastings and insights.
They are considered the main ingredients of our cuisine, without which the food would be insipid, poor without any force.
Who has never eaten the famous pasta al pesto Trapanese or rianata pizza. Well salt and garlic are the ingredients that give flavor and taste to our culinary art.
During the event there will be guided tours, which will affect the salt pans, the Tower of Nubia and the restored mills and the Salt Museum, which will be accessible free of charge.
