One of the cultural events scheduled from 8 to 14 August is the photo exhibition "TRAPANISACRA: between faith and devotion .." which will be staged at the Cavarretta Palace in the historic center of Trapani.
This interesting exhibition tourists, but also Trapani, maybe younger, will admire the pictures of sacred processions of Trapani province, even those who today do not do more or that today are done with different styles and forms from the past .
It ´a journey back in time to the rediscovery of our traditions, which often tend to forget.
As part of this exhibition, organized by the Socio Cultural "Madre Pietà Dolorosa", thanks to the collaboration of the art gallery "The Scream Rosaria", you will also see a series of paintings depicting the Madonna of Trapani, for which it takes place these days a pilgrimage, which will culminate on August 16th in their celebration of the Virgin Mary, patron saint of the city and the diocese.
Among the photos on display could not miss the procession of the Mysteries with a rich photographic archive with images and faces that belong to the past, but very rich in suggestions.
The exhibition opens on Monday, August 8, at 16:30, with a parade through the streets of the old town, the Tamburini "TRINACRIA" of Trapani which will end at 17:30 with the arrival at the Palace Cavarretta.
Other side events are scheduled Thursday 11agosto, at 20:00, with the parade of gay marches through the streets of Old Town, the ´Association of Music "New Broadband Ericina" and Friday, August 12, will take place at the Palace Cavarretta a conference entitled "the Feasts of the past .."
For visitors to the exhibition will be open Monday to Friday from 10 to 13 and from 17 to 23 on Saturdays and Sundays, the exhibition will be open from 9 to 13 and from 16 to 24.
Admission is free.
