On 13 May at 19.00 in Marsala he inaugurated the eighth edition of "Siciliamo", which is an international exhibition of Sicilian specialties, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Trapani, with the aim of promoting the gastronomy of the territory for the international buyers and to the many tourists, who already begin to crowd our territory.
This year Siciliamo is even more enriching because the Chamber of Commerce of Trapani has decided to combine the famous Garibaldi´s festival celebrations for the 156 anniversary of the Landing of the Thousand, that it was in the Marsala Italian Risorgimento began and led to ´ Unification of Italy.
Siciliamo is also an opportunity to raise awareness of all those excellences that for years, despite the economic crisis, manage to stay on the market with great results.
The festival will open with the inauguration of the village, which this year will be set up at the St. Peter Monumental Complex with a performance of brass band of Sharpshooters and animation Folk Peter Corso.
As in any self-respecting food and wine festival, there will be in the village for the cooking show, which this year featuring the cuisine of the Italian Risorgimento; basically they will be made by the hotel Guys at "A. Damiani "Marsala with the collaboration of the association" In the name of Salt "dishes in the name of the Unification of Italy.
Siciliamo is also an opportunity of entertainment with various shows on and begins on the first night with a concert of the band "Kinisia Blues Band" and the comedy of Antonio Pandolfo to Republic Square.
Saturday, May 14 will be the turn of the cabaret Sasa Salvaggio and the parade Fashion Summer 2016, while the festival will close Sunday, May 15 around midnight.
