One of the most popular tourist destinations in the province of Trapani is certainly San Vito Lo Capo. The crystal clear sea and the many events organized by the local council have made San Vito Lo Capo famous all over the world.
In this article, after the map of the province of Trapani, we will explain the 4 ways to get to San Vito lo Capo from Palermo even if we must say that that, having no train station, San Vito lo Capo train is impossible to reach by rail.
In a previous article we explained how to reach San Vito lo Capo from Trapani airport and, in another, how to reach Trapani from Palermo airport.
1) Renting a car
Thirteen car rental companies are based in the airportīs lobby. Renting a car can be an optimal choice, especially considering that San Vito lo Capo is not very well connected to the rest of the province of Trapani. Renting a car in Palermo could guarantee you the independence of movement that is useful for visiting the whole province of Trapani. Warning! Almost all car hire companies require a credit card (not prepaid) as a deposit for the car. In the absence of this, the car will not be issued despite having already been booked and paid for online.
2) With a transfer shuttle service
For those wishing to take advantage of a transfer shuttle service from the airport of Palermo to San Vito lo Capo, there are several companies that carry out the shuttle service also with 8-seater minibuses that can be booked online on the websites of the same companies. You can easily choose the time and number of people (including small children) and pay directly with a credit card, debit card or cash. If you are placed in a collective transport, the cost per person is around 25 euros, otherwise the costs can also reach 80 euros each way for the rental of the entire bus.
In the side or bottom column (if you use the mobile version) you can find some NCC (shuttle service) banners which you can click on to view prices and conditions.
3) By taxi
The taxi service from Palermo airport is available as soon as you leave the arrivals area. It is normally operating concurrently with landings but if you do not find a taxi, you can call the telephone numbers in the information desk at the airport. The cost of a taxi is around 80 euros.
4) By bus
There is no direct bus connection between Palermo airport and San Vito lo Capo, so we cannot recommend this solution. If you do decide to reach San Vito lo Capo from Palermo by bus you will need to take a bus to Trapani and from there take the connection to San Vito lo Capo.
The first part of the journey must be done with the Segesta bus line (
here you can find the site) which takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes, at a cost of 8 euros (9 if you buy the ticket on board). Once you arrive at the port of Trapani
it will be necessary to take the connection with the AST bus lines (
here are the departure times) at a cost of 4.60 euros. The Trapani San Vito lo Capo bus connection takes another hour.
See you in San Vito lo Capo and, as we say here .... SABBINIRICA!
