The province of Trapani is one of the Italian provinces with the lowest degree of variation between summer and winter.
In fact, the winters are never too harsh, followed by hot, but often windy summers.

In the table of average temperatures, shown below, it can be seen that the minimum temperature in January, the coldest month, is 8 ° with a maximum of 15 °. And this in the coldest month of the year!

It goes without saying that winter in the province of Trapani or even just a weekend winter in these parts can be a cure-all to melt the cold accumulated in the bones in far colder places.

In summer, the maximum temperature (average) reaches 30 ° with a fairly breezy.

It´s obvious that the weather data refer to the average of the last 30 years, and so you have to add a few degrees relative to the more general phenomenon of rising temperatures.

The climate is so favorable for swimming for about 6 months a year in that it is not unusual to find bathers on hot days in October intent on enjoying the last dip of the season in the sea at the beaches of Trapani and San Vito lo Capo.

Favignana and the Egadi Islands, on the other hand, since the islands have a colder sea than the mainland, have a bathing period which is restricted to a couple of months basically excluding the month of October to April / May, but leaving the magical bathing experience unchanged during the warmer months.

The clothes to pack are therefore a consequence of the warm, almost African climate. Very heavy clothes that keep you warm are definitely out because, even in the winter, they would occupy all the space in your suitcase.

Yes then to light and airy clothes becoming slightly heavier as we enter the colder months, but without ever overdoing it.
Just think about the locals who, in the winter, wear trousers, t-shirts and sweaters and carry a jacket.

In preparing your case you might also want to take into account the weather you are used to. In fact, a visitor who comes from extremely cold places, even in winter may feel warm in these parts.
It is not unusual in fact, during the spring to note the contrast between the tourists from northern Europe, wearing shorts and short sleeves, and residents with cotton, long sleeved sweaters.

The period of intense rainfall occurs here around September and October.
It is a "tropical" type of rain, that is very intense but that lasts a very short time, at the end of which the sun comes out and shines warm for several days before the next rainfall.
Snow is a rare event and falls only on the highest hills and mountains. Any clothing or equipment for snow pack would be just a waste of space.

In the pages of each city you will find the weather forecast for that specific location.

for ease of reference we give you the list of the weather for the main tourist destinations:
- Weather in Trapani
- Weather in San Vito lo Capo
- Weather in Favignana
- Weather Marsala

More weather can be found directly in the descriptive pages of the locality.
